Mike –
I’ve been buying one iteration of these or another for years now. They just seem to keep getting better and better!

Regarding the section above, I can’t really describe myself in just one word…not sure what you’re asking about—my personality or my clothing choices…
Regarding Teva, I bought my first pair in 1999…after 15 years of regular wear, the velcro on one sandal got mushed, so the strap often came loose…around that time, the soles cracked too…I would have replaced them then, but it took 5 years to find the pair I wanted….
I normally wear a 9.5, but this pair only comes in whole sizes…actually tho, I prefer buying these in a size 10, because the added rubber all the way around acts as a bumper and protects my feet, which is really important, especially when biking….all-in-all, very cool footwear…..
ps: jsyk, I really dislike surveys and rarely write reviews, but for Teva I’m a fan…cheers!

Love it, do a lot of hiking. No complaints.

I purchased it to walk around daily in the summer. After using it for a week i confidently say that these are the best pair of sandals I have ever worn. The price is on the steep end but its worth it.

I have been wearing these sandals as my hikers for 20 years. I never thought I would pay a hundred bucks for rubber sandals but I have never been able to match the fit and comfort elsewhere along with the arch as I have plantar fasciitis and these make walking painless.

I’ve had the same pair of Tevas for YEARS and loved them. Amazing arch support, durable on all kinds of terrain, in the water, etc. They finally wore out so I purchased the same pair (I was excited to find the same sku, model, color and size). Immediately they felt too big, and less arch support, but I tried them anyway. 2 hours later I developed blisters on the outer heels of my feet. Such a disappointing experience after so many years of satisfaction with my old pair.

I wear and have worn Teva sandals all-year round for a couple decades except for a couple winter months when it’s too cold. This was the first time I ordered online, and I won’t do that again. They were on sale so I bought two of what I’ve worn for years, but there were not free returns. One shoe had a sharp point where the plastic webbing was cut that was painful, but I did minor “surgery” to repair. In a similar place to where that construction issue was, the pad still is sewn on differently than on all the other 3 shoes that I bought, so it still wears painfully on my foot.
I wore them with socks for a few weeks to try to get that shoe broken in, and though it’s a little better, it’s still painful. I think that pair will just be my winter/sock pair.
I give 2 stars instead of 1 since 75% of the shoes I bought are fine and what they should be.
Bottom line: I wont’ buy shoes online without trying them on first again, even if it’s the same thing I’ve worn for years!

I have been wearing Teva for years and years. I am sad to report that the new softer rubber they are using where you foot makes contact to the sole wears much faster than before I have a few pairs of the same model TERRA FI 5 UNIVERSAL. The ones from just a few years back have a more durable longer lasting insole. I have one pair that is approx 2 years old and that looks like new and two new pairs that i only wear half as much since I rotate them each day and they have places where my toes have dug done into the soft rubber insoles. Wish they would go back to the material they previously used.

My Tevas are the only shoes I wear and I wear them year round. I bought 2 pair this time so when I wear these out I’ll have another pair! I had to buy men’s size 8 (I’m a women’s size 10) to get. the style and color I wanted, but they fit great and I love them!

I wore boots for 40 years. I wear these so long as weather and safety don’t say otherwise. Just bought a “two fer”, I still have an old pair. I’m in my 60’s so based on past performance I may not have to buy any more. I understand why, but I still miss 1/2 sizes.

Wanted to ad to my previous review. I showed these to my podiatrist and he said, “Doctor approved! Good arch support.”
I loved my original women’s Terra Fi 2s but I wore them out in everyday walking, not hiking or anything, but they were my ONLY shoes. I would have liked to see this style and color in women’s sizes.

Like all TEVAs, another great hiking and otherwise casual sandal. It appears to run a bit large. In a hiking shoe I’m a 12.5 or 13 – here, I needed an 11 in this TEVA to get the right fit. Zappos, as always, is awesome with exchanges – but to save yourself having to exchange, you might try a full size smaller than your normal hiking or running shoe.

I bought these for my oldest son who is 46 they will be a Christmas present this year. He has been wearing Tevas’s since he was in his early 20’s. Teva’s are very well constructed . The latest version that I recently purchased for him will make his Christmas morning. He wears size 14 and they always look great on his feet. I like the way the back heel of the Teva is now designed. I will be getting a new pair for myself next summer..

Perfect – everyone in the family loves Tevas!

I wear them for everything

I bought a pair of Teva water sandals several decades ago for “water sports” . Well, they finally gave out. The new versions are awesome, fit well, walk well. A big improvement was having some padding between the skin and the plastic triangles; a source of irritation in my old pair. I’m very satisfied.

Not good quality. The straps are falling apart on both sandals after 1 day. I have been buying Teva sandals for about 10 years, willing to pay a more for the good quality. I’ve recently had issues with the soles falling off well before anything else has worn down. This didn’t seem right, but I used ShoeGoo to repair and get a little more mileage from them. This strap issue is the straw that broke the camels back. No more Tevas for me.
Jimbo –
Sandals very sturdy, total comfort, and the sole is a little thicker than the regular Teva sandals….well worth the extra price.

If you have been a dedicated and loyal Teva customer, DO NOT throw away your old ones because these are definitely NOT the same quality. They feel cheap on my feet and make a scuffing sound when walking on a hard surface which is a clear giveaway that there is a plastic content in the sole material. This is a classic case of taking a successful product which had a loyal following and then–while continuing to make it appear to be the same product as before–substitute inferior materials and then charge more for it while fooling no one. This is a pure profit play on the part of Teva and they apparently have no shame over it either. Clue #1 will be when you remove them from the box and they appear lighter in weight than the old version of Terra Fi 5. Once I put them on, I could tell they felt different in the sense that they instantly lacked the support I had become accustomed to. The Velcro straps and catchy fabric patterns will lull you into thinking these are the same ‘ole Teva’s you wore for years and years, but a few strides into testing them out on a solid surface will immediately alert you to a change in the construction formula.
I have yet to wear them on a wet surface but the comments I read about them being slippery on wet concrete now makes full sense.
I AM ALL DONE WITH TEVA. BYE-BYE FELLAS…………

I finally had to replace the sandals that I had been wearing for more than a decade. They still look great but the Velcro finally wore out and they gave up the ghost. I purchased the nearly identical sandal and could not be happier. They seem a bit different size and tread wise but otherwise beautiful.
TevaTan –
Use everyday. Sandals where I had best results were ones not made in China, which began to fall apart within 6 months of daily use, where as other sources lasted a year at least. Will no longer accept ones sourced in China due to degradation of the quality of manufacture. Almost left the brand until the last chance pair arrived several years ago made in Vietnam. Recent pair from Cambodia. Pair just befor that was Chinese. Returned when they began to fail within 6 months of daily use. Hopefully, they did some forensics on the returned pair.

2nd day wearing these on a 10 day cruise the heal strap pulled out of the heel making them unwearable.
