My usual size is a women’s 8 wide. The womens version of this sandal is too narrow – the front straps dug into my foot. The men’s 8 is wide enough. I like that it is just nylon straps and fully adjustable (front strap, instep strap, heel strap). I did have to file down (with a nail file) rough edges at the end of the straps where the nylon attaches to the velcro because I was scratching myself with those edges. But that took all of 5 minutes.

Ah Teva! I remember them from a decade ago, so comfortable, and a little too casual for work. I was really pleased to need these again. I love scrambling around Sierra rivers and paddling all over Southern California in my kayak. These shoes are perfect for that. No, I wouldn’t wear them to a business meeting. But yes, they are very comfortable and offer more arch support than flip flops. Great fit, very pleased with the arch support. Overall…Teva does it right.

Great sandal for everyday wear. Comfy, and goes with every summer outfit. In fact I bought a couple other colors so they’d really go with all my summer outfits. I’ve never bought a pair of Teva’s before so I bought a size 9 and size 8. The bigger size looked long on my foot and was a tad loose. The smaller size felt better and complimented my feet. Hope this helps.

I never want to take these shoes off. First pair of Tevas but most certainly not the last. Do yourself a favor and buy these. Straight out of the box comfort! My Chacos don’t stand a chance against this shoe!

Very comfortable casual sandal. Tread pattern not suitable for hiking but that’s okay. The back strap isn’t adjustable which isn’t a big deal for me but might be for someone who likes that more customized fit.

This is a great sandals for younger people who still have fatty tissue on the souls of their feet. At my age I need a little more cushion as in the Teva Hurricane….I also prefer the heel strap be adjustable.

I was kind of worried these wouldn’t fit me right but decided to order anyway because the returns are so easy. They fit perfectly! I usually wear size 8 or 8.5 and my feet are somewhat wide, and I ordered size 8. The sandals are super comfy and fit just right even on the hottest summer days when your feet get a bit swollen. Great buy!

Order size smaller than you would normally go – I typically wear 11s and instead ordered 10s that fit perfectly. Incredibly comfortable, however the front plastic triangle bit (on the outside edge of the shoe) that connects the straps together can rub your foot raw if you tighten the shoes past a certain point. Otherwise a great shoe.

I wear 10s all day, occasionally a 9.5. Per the recommendations of other reviewers, I went with a 9 and the Tevas fit perfectly.

My husband purchased these for our trip to Costa Rica, and he hadn’t worn Tevas since he was a kid. He never took them off the entire time we were there. They are the perfect water shoe and walking shoe for the beach. Great purchase! He loves them.

The older I get, the harder it is to find shoes that feel good, and the more important comfort becomes. I’ve got no time for “breaking in” shoes that are too hard, too pinchy here or there, or with weird lumps in the foot bed. It’s probably my feet that are changing and not the quality of the shoes, I suppose, but there are some WEIRD ideas out there in the manufacturing world concerning how the bottoms of human feet are actually shaped. As far as I’m concerned, for instance, the foot bed of Birkenstock sandals (with their extreme “arch support” notion) can’t possibly be comfortably conformed to unless you’re an octopus or an oyster.
These Teva Original Universals, ,on the other hand, slipped onto my old feet with perfect fit in every dimension. The insole is gently but positively supportive of my arches. There are no pressure points ANYWHERE!!! No superfluous toe-ridge features that mandate where your foot has to fit to avoid paralytic nerve agony. And the texture of the foot bed is marvelous – just a bit of tactile roughness without a reduction in softness. My feet just simply “docked” in them like NASA tailored ’em for me. The straps are perfectly placed, and offer enough adjustability for most reasonable people, I’d guess. Like with any woven straps (leather ones, too, for that matter, one must become accustomed to the rubbing points. But that’s with any sandal. I’ve worn Tevas long enough so that’s not an issue for me. Plus – so many nice color options!! This is one of the finest sandals out there, IMO.

Super comfortable and practical but the white color starts looking grubby within a week. Dirt gets caught in the webbing and I haven’t been able to get them clean again.

Seemed true to size, but wish the heel strap was adjustable. It pushed my foot forward in the sandal so my foot was about an inch away from the back edge of the shoe. That also made the toe strap not at the base of the toes, but more on the foot. If the heel strap was adjustable, the shoe would have fit more comfortably. I returned them.

I am absolutely disgusted by the terrible quality of these shoes. I rarely allow myself the luxury of buying new shoes, and I was so excited about these sandals. I had tevas in college, and remember them being sturdy, comfortable, and great for any adventure. The quality has gone so downhill! They are TRASH. These shoes began falling apart two months after I bought them. If this is what I can expect from Teva- I will NEVER buy this brand again.

Pros: super lightweight, fun design, and they break in right away.
Cons: I found the footbed surface to be pretty slippery when wet, the tread is super minimal, and the foam packs down pretty fast. A little on the big size, I would go 1/2 size down if I got another pair.

I broke in my new Tevas by sight seeing and walking around downtown Chicago. They were comfy, supportive, and durable! I also wore them on a short hike at Mount Rainier, and they were just as reliable. Highly recommend!!

Love this sandal! I hadn’t purchased Teva sandals for many years. Love the improvements. Much less bulky than my original pair. They hold my foot solidly. I have arthritic ankles. The strapping hold my foot secure. Plenty of toe room. My foot doesn’t slide in the footbed when walking. Good cushioning when standing on cement floors.
