What an incredible wasted opportunity. The sole of these flips are great. There’s just one problem for me – and that’s why I had to return – the material that the toe-post is constructed of is too rough. If you run your finger over this nylon material, you will clearly feel the little ridges. I recently tried out the Keen Kona Flip. I returned it for other reasons, but the nylon toe-post was smooth, and did not make me feel like the area between my toes was being sawed at by a coping saw blade. I wore these around extra because the sole is really good. I compared them to the flips I have and love but which are no longer made. I bought 5 pairs of the ones I have and love, and I’m shopping for flips because I just took my last new pair out of the plastic bag. The material of the toe post is nylon, and it does not have pronounced ridges, but rather is simply smooth. I read all of the rave reviews on Zappos. Am I crazy? I don’t see how this can not be a problem for anyone else. With much reluctance, I must return the Teva katavi 2 Thong.

So were should I begin, the customer service that I have received has been quite literally trash along with the product that I bought. It broke on the back strap latterly close to a month after purchase. If they get wet and feel sloppy and develop a nice foul smell. Beyond disappointing been a returning customer for years but this will probably be the last after calling the customer service 5 times in a week and not getting anything resolved. Also after talking to a floor supervisor I will not call again beyond rude. Recomend anything but this shoe and company.

Junk. I have had a pair of Katavi’s for 2 years and I love them. The Kavati 2 is junk! The toe thong on the left sandal was more than 1/4″ further back that the right sandal. Apparently anytime a company feels the need to place a 2 or II after a model it means it’s gone to hell, dont waste your time or dollars.

I buy these for my husband who struggles with problems if he doesn’t have good arch support. These Tevas work great because they take care of his arches and he loves them.

We live in the south and these Tevas are wonderful. When my husband first got them he thought they were a little heavy but not anymore. He wears them to the lake, all day traveling, and basically everywhere. The arch support is incredible and they last a lot longer than most flip-flops. We usually buy 2 pair so he can rotate wearing them.

I had the original Katavi Thong for two years and they felt great. I immediately bought another pair just in case they stopped making them. I now just bought the 2 to have as a backup, but I like teh fit and comfort even more.

Very comfortable. I had never worn a thong style sandal before, but this felt very comfortable and had better arch support than any slides I had ever worn. My biggest concern was with the toe post, but it was comfortable and easy to get used to.

These are my second pair in little over 18 months. I had the same issue with my previous pair and that is the rear left hand side strap pulled loose from the base.
They were not worn that often in their short life; the soles look brand new. I did e-mail Teva but never received a response.
Anyway, they have lost a thirty year customer as I have changed my brand to Olukai.
Good luck

I’ve been wearing mine regularly for over 3 years now, and they are not dead yet.. but by the end of this summer I will have to say goodbye. I am buying another pair right now because I have enjoyed wearing them so much. Comfortable and rugged!

Most comfortable flip flop type sandals I’ve owned.

I had a pair of Teva’s that were comfortable and durable, but they gave out about a year ago. Finding a new pair a few months ago in a retail store was literally (no exaggeration) impossible without traveling over an hour by car. I’m not sure why Teva can’t stock the shelves but the pair I ordered were just as good as the original.

Perfect flip flops. Arch support & hugs the foot.

Only sandal I will ever buy. Have owned TeVa’s for 20 plus years. Love them.
Scott –
It seems to be a little small in size but that may be good thing. It’ll allow the product to stretch to fit my foot

I have all sorts of feat issues so flip flops can be a challenge. As far as this type of shoe goes, I find them very comfortable and supportive. I mainly use them for indoor, summer slippers, but I’ll be bringing these to the beach this summer. I can even wear them casually for smaller trips because I find them capable of protecting my beat up, old feat. I would not hesitate to buy again. FYI I found that my usual size works for this flip flop.

Bought them as a Father’s Day gift for my Hubby and he loves them! Says they’re the most comfortable pair of flops he’s ever worn!

I have been wearing Teva thong sandals for years and the 3 other pairs I have are still in active rotation. Construction is solid and arch support surpasses what is available from other brands. I will continue buying Teva and recommending it to friends.
Rainbow W –
Very comfortable slipper (as they’re called in Hawaii). My second pair. The first pair probably lasted close to 10 years. Very thick sole, good for walking in as my feet don’t get sore if out and about for many hours.
Rick –
I have Fallen arches, so the arche support really helps me walk. I absolutely love them and got a second pair for our boat ! I Highly recommend these to anyone with sore tired feet. Thanks again! Richard Keeler
Bob –
2nd or third pair, does not disappoint.
Captain –
Fit nice and walking is excellent with the traction tread.
Hey B –
I have had several pair of the Teva thong sandals over the years. I wear them constantly in the summer. They are comfortable and have held up well. I usually end up abusing them at some point by catching them on something which can cause the strap to pull out.
Bupe –
best flip flops I have ever had,

My husband always wear this flip flops, only this brand, they are comfortable, durable and nice looking, great quality and the company has a great customer service, totally recommend it.
